For the curious parties:

Bukowski enthusiast. WebDev devotee. Connoisseur of little with a taste for all. I mark for the obscure, whether that be indie wrestling, craft IPAs, vintage Telecasters... the elipses speaks for itself. While my code cognizance is a "work in progress," below you can take a peek at a handful of the languages I am currently getting to know!

Irrelevant ramblings, more about me, etc.

While I wouldn't consider myself a cut out of the typical cloth, I've always found myself as a team player with a work ethic bordering on obsessive. An extroverted introvert. I've held many jobs, few of prestige, but humble living has always been enough for me. But if I could quote Michael Zaslow for a second:

"Doing any job for too long limits your possibilities."

I've always been a thinker. A dreamer. Put my everything into all of my work, little details included, just to guarantee the best outcome possible. To me, the beauty of code is the expansiveness and unpredictability. Development is something with which you can intake, reciprocate, build worlds... and there's always something else to commit to memory. The journey is neverending. That, to me, is a beautiful thing; and if you're interested, I say we build something together.

I’ve had a passion for computers and the internet since a very young age. The interest in computer code was never dormant; in fact, I started playing around with basic HTML when message boards were the fad and AOL Instant Messenger was America’s social playground. In the end, other loves died out and computer coding remained on the back burner. Academic studies shifted, and I here I am today — grinding through a coding bootcamp, loving every second of it, and preparing for a lifetime of coding ahead of me.
We use (and abuse) software and applications on a very regular basis. The beauty of development, to me, is understanding what embodies an attractive interface and how all of the code makes it run behind the scenes. It’s a puzzle of sorts, and every lightbulb that gets lit along the way ignites the fire of knowledge and understanding inside me even more. I also might be crazy and have a thirst for the seemingly impossible. The jury is still out on that one.
I may not have the personal experience under my belt thus yet, but a couple attributes that I do have are passion and a willingness to learn — and I have those in spades. I’m not in it for the money, I’m not in it for the fame. I’m in the game to lend my hand to a trade that helps the world. Whether I’m developing products to entertain the masses or simplify peoples’ lives, I’m happy just making a change for the world.
I’ve always had a nerdy obsession with professional wrestling. If you think this starts and ends with WWE, then stop reading now.

Okay, you’re still with me. One niche that hasn’t been tackled in terms of networking and promotion is the wrestling business. I would love to one day (sooner rather than later) build a website and application that focuses on actual wrestler profiles, including basic physical stats, training history, wrestling experience, promotions worked for, videos of matches, etc. The end game would be for different promoters from wrestling federations to have a tool to find local wrestlers they may not have heard about otherwise, for wrestlers to have their own dedicated social media site to promote their trade and get their name out there, and lastly for fans to have a database that they can search to get their fix of wrestling knowledge and matches on the indie level. I think it would do great on so many levels.
Full stack, baby! I want to see it all, get it all, and do it all! And I’m well on my way!
